There is a bracket in the rear/right hand side that has one bolt. You need an extension to reach it.
Remove the decorative stereo retaining cover. Remove the stereo retaining screws. Slide the stereo out and remove the wiring harness and the antenna cable.
put the parking brake in, then put the truck in 1st gear pop the dash cover off and then remove bolts from stereo.

Set the original stereo at a 6 degree angle and pull gently.
FIRST YOU HAVE TO REMOVE THE FACE OF YOUR dash IT JUST POPS OFF... THEN U CAN SEE THE RADIO JUST UNSCREW THEN PULL OUT THEN UNPLUG WIRE HARNESS.
the plastic piece around the stereo should pop off straight out after that their is 4 screws that can be removed
Remove trim around radio carefull there might be screws on bottom side of dash when trim removed shoul be 4 bolts holding in radio undo those slide radio forward remove antenna wires and 3 plugs in back of stereo. also common for gm tape players to go out you can remove screwws and exchange tape player itself in radio with just screews no soldering
A 2007 Chevy Avalanche will only have an external factory amplifier if it is equipped with a Bose stereo system. If there is a factory amp included, it will be underneath the center console.
two screws on the dash cluster one by the lighter and two underneath the botom dash fro there you can see the mouting bracket for the dek remove the 3 bolts and the deck should slide out
u have to go to the shop and buy it and pay the shop to install it
