You will need to either run the truck out of gas or siphon the gas.

.Relieve the fuel pressure by disconnecting the wirring from the inerta switch located behind the passanger side kick panel then start the truck till it stalls it wont take long or it wont start.

.remove the neg. cable from batt.

.Remove the gas tank from under the truck

.Remove the fuel lines from the fuel pump (reguires special tool from part store)

.The fuel pump is located on the top of the tank. (Round plate w/ 6 bolts)

.You will need to mark allignment marks on the tank and pump assembly

.Remove bolts

.remove the fuel pump by lifting up and at an angle

.Seperate the pump from assembly by removing the C-clamp and wire connector.

.Clean the surface of the tank, mounting flange and seal ring.

.use a coat of grease on the new seal ring (this will also help hold it in place)

.Install new pump and tank in reverse order.

Get yourself a Haynes manual from an auto parts store. This will help guide you along. also may offer helpfull photos.
