Support the tire with a jack so it is not touching the ground. With the tire in the air grab the sides of the tire and check for play by twisting the tire in the same direction that the steering wheel makes. Even a few thousands of an inch play is not very good.Make sure to get an alignment after replacing. They are not always easy to press out, sometimes a seperator fork works.
