If the forks wont lift weight the seals in the piston may be worn..Turning up the pressure may not correct this problem..Most pressures in forklifts are factory set and should not exceed recommended values..There will be a relief valve near the pump or on the valve bank that will adjust the pressure. If the forks creep down especially with weight ...the seals are bad. If its just to lift something heavy and the forklift wont lift it, this item just might be over the forklifts capacity. If there is Water in the oil this can cause probs too.
