Take it to a machanic....trust me....it's not worth doing it yourself....they are very difficult to do....because of the small springs they use for the rear shoes....plus....the rear shoes have to go on a certain way and you have to distinguish which is the top shoe and which is the bottom, cause if you put them on the wrong way, you could end up damaging the shoes you just put on....plus.....if you still want to do it yourself...you have to take into account the rear drums...which will have to be recut...you just don't change rear shoes and not worry about the drums.....which you will have to take to a mechanic shop to have to recut them....so if you have to go and do that, then you might as well take the car to a mechanic and have them do it right...for if they screw up the back brakes...you can at complain at them for the mistakes they make and not yourself. But find yourself a good mechanic and you wont have to worry about if he or she is doing a good job or not. Getting a mechanic to do the rear brakes isn't all that costly...they run about 50-70 dollars....depending on what is needed, that's including labor.
