This happens to my 1999 Toyota Corolla's factory CD player from time to time. I just unplug the battery for about a minute, reconnected it, and then pressed the "eject" button (without turning the car on, or even inserting the key). Works every time! Good luck! :-)
This also works on a 2003 Avalon with a factory CD player and stuck CD. However, instead of disconnecting the battery, I just pulled out the "radio" fuse, which disconnects power from the unit with less hassle. Works beautifully!
How do i remove a stuck Cd from my 2005 Toyota Highlander? The CDs will not eject.
I had a CD stuck in the CD player. When I had the battery changed, and the battery was disconnected for about 15 minutes then reconnected, I was able to eject the CD!
To free a stuck CD in a 2004 Renault Clio, first try turning on the ignition and pressing the eject button multiple times. If that doesn’t work, you can try gently shaking the car to see if it dislodges the CD. If the CD remains stuck, you may need to remove the stereo unit from the dashboard to manually extract the CD. Always take care when handling the stereo to avoid damaging it or the car's wiring.
there is a recall for this
To remove a CD from the CD player in a 2003 Toyota Matrix, first turn on the car's ignition. Press the "Eject" button on the CD player; the CD should slide out. If the CD does not eject, you may need to turn off the car and try again or consult the owner's manual for troubleshooting steps. If the CD is still stuck, consider disconnecting the car battery briefly to reset the player.
