Pull the hood (bonnet) release that is located above the driver's left thigh/knee-depending on anatomy. If the hood pops up a bit, reach into the driver's side of the rubber bumper, close to center and push up on the secondary release platform while lifting up on the hood.
If the primary release doesn't work, take a long, slim rod and stick it into the grill from the passenger side front corner. Have someone push in on the end while you guide it to the vertical stop screw that hangs below the release lever. This will pop the primary latch.
