When you open the hood, there is a plastic box to the right side that says "remove to replace air filter". Do not try to pop the top off of this box as i did, instead remove the two screws holding it to the body of the vehicle. The box containing the air filter is located beneath the box you just removed. There are two clips holding the cover on the box, undo these and you will see the filter sitting vertically in the box, replace it, put the cover clips back in place and replace the plastic box that was removed first.
looks like plastic box with 4 clips around it to the right of the engine close to the battery I belive on the 3.0 V6. push out clips to remove top cover, remove old, insert new. Only goes in one way. Your OWNERS MANUAL may have a thing or to to say about this as well.
It is on top of the engine. You have to remove the air filter assembly and the cover between the heads.
If there isn't a removable access, you do not have a cabin filter.
Open the hood and look in the bottom right corner of the engine compartment. that black box holds the air filter, release the clips on each corner and lift the cover off and there it is!
The air filter of a 1997 Dodge Neon coupe is located in the air intake of the vehicle. Standard intakes use a plastic housing which flows throughout the engine bay. Locate the housing for the filter and remove the clips from the air box. Open the box and replace the filter.
On top of the engine block. You'll need to remove the inside engine cover
depending on which engine you have...majority of caravans have the 3.0 liter engine and the air filter is beside or to the left of the battery. You need to unlatch the air filter cover to access and remove the filter
The oil filter on the 3.6L engine is a paper cartridge filter accessed from the top. Remove the access door in the upper engine cover and unscrew the filter cap with a 1 inch socket.
The air box housing the air filter is located on the driver's side front of the engine bay. The lid is held on by spring clips. You just have to pop them off/on to remove/install the lid.
