First disconnect the lower master cylinder to slave cylinder hydrolic line and plug the opening. Next loosen the mounting bolts on the slave cylinder and pull the cylinder away. To install: Grease where the slave cylinder rod meets the release fork. Mount the cylinder in position install the bolts and torque to proper specs. Reconnect the hydrolic line and bleed the system. To bleed: Slip a clear tube over the bleed valve on the slave cylinder. Submerse the other end of the tube in a container filled with brake/hydrolic clutch fluid. Have an assistant pump the clutch pedal a few times then hold it down. While the assiatant holds the clutch pedal down loosen the bleeder valve until no air bubbles come out of the line then tighten the valve back down. Repeat until there is no more air seen in the tube. NOTE: Keep an eye on the level of fluid in the master cyclinder. You may have to add fluid throughout the bleeding process. If the level drops below half more air may enter the system, and you'll have to bleed it all over again. When you're finished bleeding the system top off the master cylinder and test the clutch for proper operation. Then go enjoy your now fully releasing clutch.

How do you replace a slave cylinder on a 1995 dodge neon clutch
At least the slave cylinder. The clutch master cylinder can be replaced at any time.
There are two normal causes. The clutch is worn out or there is a leak in the hydraulic clutch slave or master cylinder. To check the clutch, press the clutch slave cylinder down. If the clutch slave cylinder bellows compresses down to the slave cylinder, the clutch is worn out. Check the clutch master cylinder fluid level. if this is low, then the clutch cylinder need to be checked. To check for a hydraulic leak in the clutch slave cylinder, remove the cylinder's bellows and check for any fluid. If fluid is present, rebuild or replace the cylinder and bleed the system. To check the clutch master cylinder, check the back the of clutch master cylinder for leaks. If fluid is present, replace or rebuild clutch master cylinder and bleed the system. In my experience, hydraulic leaks occur at the clutch slave cylinder.

Since the transmission has to be removed to replace the clutch anyway, there is no extra labor involved to replace the slave.
