There is a brake switch which is actually behind the brake pedal, the fuse would not have blown its more like the brake switch. Easily fixed too.
don't bother. i know about 99% of the time the brake lights don't work are because the brake light switch on the brake pedal has failed. I've changed about 50 of the dam things. their a weak point especially on the the au falcons.
it is hissing because there is a vacume leak in the brake booster it will require a new brake booster
To remove a pressure switch in the power steering Au Falcon the proper tools must be obtained to take the piece apart. The proper instructions must also be obtained.
You need a flashlight and pliers. Crawl under the dashboard. On top of the brake pedal you see the switch and the push rod. Remove the yellow clip. Slide the switch sideways, the brake switch comes off. Look where the plastic spacers are before you remove the switch. Unplug the switch Ford part number for the switch is E73B-13480-AA

You need an AU Falcon towbar.
