I had the same problem on my '99 Hyundai Sonata GLS. It was the alternator. It costs about $170 and it's about $150 to take it to Car-X and have them install it.
broken belt
Probably the alternator. Have it checked if it is charging.
There are several warning lights on a 2008 Honda Civic. The main lights are for the brake system, air bag system, check engine, tire pressure, oil pressure, and battery power.
Most of the light on the dashboard are Warning Lights; different warning lights that might flash up on the dashboard. Some of the more common warning lights are shown below. 1 = Oil pressure warning light 2 = Battery charge warning light 3 = Brake system warning light 4 = Engine warning light
Check the ground wire to the brake lights.
Dash lights may illuminate when you touch the brake pedal in a Hyundai Santa Fe due to the activation of the brake light switch. This switch engages the brake lights and can trigger various warning indicators on the dashboard if there's an issue with the braking system or if the vehicle's computer detects a fault. Additionally, if the brake fluid level is low or there’s a problem with the ABS system, it may also cause warning lights to activate. It's advisable to check for any error codes or consult a mechanic to address any underlying issues.
Alternator has/is going bad.
Alternater may not be charging would be my first thought.
Possibly a bad alternator (the system is not charging the battery).
Brake lights draw their energy from the vehicle's battery.
you don't really know unless you get the vehicle tested...most likely it would be your battery or your brakes
I had this same problem with my !995 Galant. It turned out to be the alternator.
