injector is bad
Here's 2 things I would check: # Fuel filter # Fuel shutoff/inertia/emergency shutoff switch
fuse r good still dont work
I have a 2004 ford f150 heritage supercab i changed the fuel pump because it did't have any power and still no power all fuse are good and relay
Swap the relay with a known good relay.
Type your answer here... you don't... there is no way to test a faulty relay. Just buy a new relay and install it. If the problem is fixed, then the old relay was bad. If the problem still exists with the new relay installed, then the old relay is still good. Most auto parts stores are good for returning products, even electrical parts.
The best way to see if the fuel pump relay is good or bad is just replacing it with a new one. Be sure and check the fuel pump fuse to make sure it is not blown. Also be sure and replace the fuel filter as it may be clogged. If all this is good and the fuel pump still will not run is more than likely defective. In fact the pump can be running and still not be able to pump fuel.
if you put in a new fuel pump and the fuse still blows check the fuel relay under the hood on the firewall,,its oval in shape,,,, disconect the relay and turn the engine over if the fuse doesnt blow then the relay is bad,,if it does then you have a short in the wire harness its easy to follow from the fuel pump to the relay good luck
If the pump is running the relay is good.
the relay is located at the firewall behind the glove-box. the fuel pump relay has a yellow socket. good luck !
You should check the fuel pump fuse to make sure is not blown. If the fuse is good the fuel pump relay may be defective. It is always simpler to replace the fuse and the relay before removing the fuel pump.
It will go bad suddenly. If the fuel pump is running, which you can tell by listening at the fuel filler with the cap off and a helper turning on the ignition without starting the engine, then the relay is good. If you hear nothing then either the pump or relay is bad or you have a blown fuse. If you hear nothing check the fuse first. If it is good replace the relay. If it still does not run the pump is bad. Even if the pump is running that does not mean it is good. It may be running but not pumping any fuel. A fuel pressure test will verify the pump's condition. Be sure and replace the fuel filter either way.
I found that the fuel relay is the same number as some of the other relays such as the horn. You can check fuel relay by replacing in the horn relay if the horn works the relay is good.
