Soldering BatteriesSoldering on the terminals of "drycell" batteries probablywill not cause an explosion, BUT... soldering on any drycell battery WILL DAMAGE the "seal" where the terminals penetrate the battery housing/case.

That seal failure will allow leakage of electrolyte which in turn can, and usually does, cause a lot of corrosion and related damage to the batteries themselves, AND adjacent electrical/electronic components!

Also, depending on the amount of heat allowed to "sink" into the batteries, the practice of soldering on battery terminals can result in immediate failure of the batteries.

Most, if not all, of the terminals of commercially manufactured battery packs are connected using "Spot Welding" which does not create as much damaging heat.

What Happens if a 9 volt battery touches another 9 volt battery?

It heats up very hot and may explode.

Can you charge a 6 volt battery with 6 volt charger?

No. The battery will be charged at a rate which is 2* the normal rate. This will cause the battery to overheat which might cause it to explode.

Why could a 12 volt car battery explode or burst?

Normally connecting the cables in reverse order can cause it to explode. Overcharging can also cause the battery to rupture but it is highly unlikely it would explode.

Do you charge a battery for a tractor on 6V 2amps or 12V 6 amps?

6volts 2amps for 6 volt battery, and 12 volts 6amps for a 12 volt battery. Don't charge a 6 volt battery on the 12 volt setting or it will explode!!!!!!!!! you're ok going the other way though.

What happens if you charge a 12 volt battery with 24 volts?

Charging a 12 volt battery with 24 volts can cause the battery to overheat and potentially explode due to the excessive voltage. It is recommended to always use the correct voltage charger for the specific battery to avoid damaging the battery or causing safety hazards.

Can you charge a 9 volt battery with a 12 volt charger?

no, there is a high probability that it will explode

Where can I get a cr1225 battery?

The crl225 battery is just a standard 12 volt battery. You can get another version, or a replacement battery for this, for about $8 dollars from Amazon or eBay.

Can Jump-starting a Hybrid Car cause it to Explode?

I don't think so, the 12 volt starter battery is separated from the synergy drive battery, there even at different ends of the car in most models.

if it is any think over 1 volt it is not a cell battery it is just a 6 volt battery if you had a 1 volt then it would be a cell battery

Can you use 7.5 volt charger for 6 volt battery?

No, it will overcharge the 6 volt battery.

Why do batteries explode?

More often than not batteries corrode from being in an object for long periods of time, and the contents leak and damage the object the battery was in. The only time a battery will actually explode is when it is subjected to high levels of heat.
