In an actual engine, the top of the cylinder is covered by the cylinder head. The cylinder head contains critical components such as the valves, spark plugs (in gasoline engines), and fuel injectors. It also plays a role in sealing the combustion chamber and facilitating the flow of air and exhaust gases. Additionally, the cylinder head often includes coolant passages to help regulate engine temperature.
Yes, a cylinder has three, the top, the bottom, and the actual curve.
DOHC stands for Dual Over Head Cam : That means that each cylinder head has 2 camshafts on the top of the engine cylinder head ( in the case of the Ford Escort ZX2 , there is one cylinder head on the four cylinder engine so it has 2 camshafts on top of the cylinder head )
The cylinder head is located on top of the engine. The spark plugs thread into the cylinder head(s).....
In a internal combustion engine, a cylinder ridge is an unworn area around the top of the cylinder wall. In that engine, the piston moves up and down in the cylinder, and the rings seal the piston in that cylinder. But the rings are spaced "down a bit" from the top of the piston. And when the piston reaches top dead center in the cylinder, the rings haven't gone all they way to the top of the cylinder. They end up wearing the cylinder out "underneath" that top area. In other words, it's the top part of the cylinder that is not in contact with the piston rings. It's the "unworn" part, if you will.
Passenger side top of the engine.Passenger side top of the engine.
its an internal filter on top of the engine under the hood. its in a cylinder canister with a hard plastic top.
In the cylinder head, on top of the engine block.
Your head gasket or cylinder head is cracked.
One on each side of the top of the engine.
By the waterpump. Where the top radiatorhose goes into the motor
In a 1999 Ford Contour : The 2.0 litre four cylinder engine has ( 2 cam shafts on top of the cylinder head ) The 2.5 litre V6 engine has ( 2 camshafts on top of each cylinder head so there are 4 camshafts )
On top of engine covered by air cleaner
