Using 5W-20 oil in an LT1 engine can be too thin, especially in high-temperature or high-performance situations. The LT1 typically operates better with a thicker oil, such as 10W-30 or 10W-40, which provides better protection under load and high temperatures. Always consult the owner's manual or manufacturer recommendations to ensure optimal performance and engine longevity.
viscosity, not velocity. 5W20 is just a way of claiming that oil doesn't thin as much (as regular oil) as the temprature in the engine rises
i believe you need too get the LT4 heads for that too work
91c is the designation for the police spec caprice.it should in most cases already have an lt1,lt1 is the motor,91c is the car specs, but since its a 91 it may be too old for the lt1 option, so that part i dont know.i just know for sure 91c is not a motor.
my 95 lt 1 runs from 209 to 215
Yes, it requires 5w20 or 5w30.
If you can easily see the dogs ribs, they are too thin.
Anorexic thin
5w20, does not have to be synthetic.5w20, does not have to be synthetic.
10w30 is thicker than 5w20
Check the oil cap. If its doesn't say, use 5w30If it says 5w20, use 5w20.Check the oil cap. If its doesn't say, use 5w30If it says 5w20, use 5w20.
There was no LT1 in the 1992 B body, the LT1 was introduced in the F body and Corvette in 1993, and 1994 in the B and D bodies.
5w20 or 5w30, depends on if it has MDS. If the oil cap says 5w20, use 5w20.
