yes it is fine but of course synthetic is the best to use if you can. Double check your oil requirements with your owner's manual. If it states that normal oil is okay, then go ahead. If your owner's manual dictates Synthetics, then DO NOT switch.
What is the best grade oil for Quad bikes

5W30 in the winter, 10W30 in the summer is okay, but NO HEAVER are it will burn the valve train up. KENDELL and GASTROL brands are a real good oil to use.
You may have damaged the new oil pressure switch when you installed it. Otherwise, even if your oil level is okay, your engine might not be getting enough oil if the oil pump is clogged or weak.
left side of the quad
I have a 2000 king quad 300 and you add the oil in rear axle theres a screw out plug
Remove the header and all oil existing in the quad. There is a plg at the bottom of your quad that will let out all oil. Pass new oil through the quad and out the plug repeatedly and change your sparkplug. Start up quad with header off and let it spit all the water out. After a while you may re-install the header and put the plug back in with the new oil. Dont forget to change oil filter every 10-15 hours of riding time.
