Hey, yes the Idler Pully nut is reverse tread (you have to turn right to loosen this) this is because you turn left to loosen belt tension. I believe this is true for a lot of GM engines.
behind the crank pulley
The belt routing diagram for a 3800 supercharged engine typically shows the serpentine belt path around various pulleys, including the alternator, power steering pump, water pump, and supercharger. The belt usually loops around the crankshaft pulley, then routes over the idler pulley and tensioner before reaching the supercharger. It's essential to follow the specific routing as indicated in the vehicle's service manual for proper installation and operation. Make sure to check for any additional components or variations based on the specific model year.
need a puller, 3bolt puller go to autozone
The camshaft position sensor is located behind the water pump pulley. If looking directly at the pulley, it is at about the 10 O'clock position. TechJK ---------------------
This is on a 1998 Olds. Intrigue 3800 V6
It should be behind the crankshaft pulley. You'll need to remove the right front wheel and the weathershields to get to it. If you only need to test the wiring, don't remove the pulley. == == == ==

cant adjust must replace
1% of 3800 = 1% * 3800 = 0.01 * 3800 = 38
84% of 3800 = 84% * 3800 = 0.84 * 3800 = 3,192
3.8 is 3800%
