no there is not a fuse built into any alternator that i have seen to date (been a mechanic for 10 yrs) HOWEVER most vehicles have a charging fuse located either in-line or at the fuse panel so that if the rectifier or voltage regulator goes out the battery does not receive too much voltage or the wrong type of voltage ac versus dc
in short no the alternator doesn't but the vehicle should have one in the alternator circuit
No, there is not a fuse on the alternator.
The alternator does not actually have a fuse. The alternator has a regulator. The regulator is mounted on the top of the alternator.
There is no fuse for an alternator.
Were do you find alternator fuse on a f150 99
There isn't any fuse then is linked to the alternator on a 1996 Mercury cougar. The alternator has an internal regulator, but does not have a fuse.
ALternator fuses, if equipped may be on the battery post, in a fuse box, or in the wire going from the battery to the alternator.
where is the alternator fuse located on c220 turbo diesel
is there a fuse between alternator and battery on a 2002 saab 93
Yes, the 2001 BMW 740i has a fuse related to the alternator, typically found in the fuse box. This fuse is responsible for protecting the electrical system associated with the alternator. If there are issues with the alternator not charging the battery, it's a good idea to check this fuse along with the alternator itself. Always consult the owner's manual for the exact fuse location and specifications.
On a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo, the alternator fuse is located in the underhood fuse box. To access it, open the hood and find the fuse box near the battery. The fuse for the alternator is typically labeled and can be identified in the fuse diagram found on the cover of the fuse box. If the fuse is blown, it will need to be replaced to ensure proper alternator operation.
