Actually, Honda Preludes are one of the few cars that have alternator fuses. It's either in the fuse compartment under the hood or by your left knee when you're in the driver's seat. Mine blew last year and i replaced the whole alternator only to find out all I needed was a fuse. Good luck!
In a 1999 Honda Prelude, the alternator fuse is a protective component in the electrical system that helps prevent damage to the alternator and other electrical parts in case of a short circuit or overload. It is typically located in the fuse box under the hood or in the cabin. If the alternator fuse blows, it can result in the alternator not charging the battery properly, leading to electrical issues and potential battery failure. Always refer to the vehicle's owner's manual for the exact fuse specifications and location.
In a 1990 Mazda Miata, the alternator fuse is located in the fuse box, which is found behind the driver's side kick panel. Specifically, you should look for a 60-amp fuse that is labeled for the alternator. Ensure the fuse is intact and replace it if necessary to restore proper alternator function. Always consult the owner's manual for detailed information and fuse diagrams.
On a 1990 Dodge Spirit, the alternator fuse is typically located in the fuse box under the hood. This fuse box is situated near the battery, and you can identify the specific fuse for the alternator by consulting the fuse diagram, which is usually found on the cover of the fuse box or in the owner's manual. If you're experiencing issues with the alternator, checking this fuse is a good first step.
In a 1990 Honda Prelude SI, the clock fuse is typically located in the fuse box under the dashboard on the driver's side. To access it, remove the cover of the fuse box and look for a fuse labeled for the clock or accessories. If you’re unsure, consult the vehicle's manual for the exact fuse location and amperage. Always ensure the vehicle is turned off before checking or replacing fuses.
What i know of what to do is just take out the fuse. the fuse is under the steering wheel and the alternator and fuel pump is in the same fuse. just pull it and you'll be okey.
I can tell you that on a 2000 mercury cougar it is a fuse on the positive cable between the battery and the alternator
Some 1990s had a fusible link. I am not aware of any with a fuse. The fusible link is between the alternator and the battery, connected with heavy wire. Kind of easy to miss. http://www.marksatterfield.com
No, there is not a fuse on the alternator.
The alternator does not actually have a fuse. The alternator has a regulator. The regulator is mounted on the top of the alternator.
Bad starter... Bad Alternator... Bad battery... maybe a fuse.
