For the Generac 5500XL, if the original oil filter (part number 70185) is discontinued, you can use an alternative filter such as the Generac part number 070185 or a compatible aftermarket filter like the WIX 51348 or NAPA 1348. Always ensure that the filter has the correct dimensions and specifications for your generator. It's advisable to consult with a local dealer or a small engine repair shop for the best alternative options.

Is there a cross reference from a Generac Oil Filter P/N 0A45310244 to another brand?

A Purolator L14476 will work perfectly.
I've been told a Napa #21394 will work I purchased a Generac oil filter in a Generac box at Home Depot labeled "For Use with All Generac OHVI Engines Equipped with Oil Filter Adapter". The box was marked "Model 1323-0", which is apparently the Home Depot model # for the 70185. Inside the box was a NAPA Silver 21394 oil filter.

You do not have to use a Generac filter which is made by some other company in the first place. Any auto parts store can cross reference the Generac filter to another brand. Purolator is an excellent filter which is sold by Advance Auto Parts.

The Fram oil filter cross reference for a Generac generator model 0G0664 is typically the Fram PH6017A. However, it's always best to double-check with the manufacturer or a trusted parts supplier to ensure compatibility, as specifications can change.
