where is the mass air flow sensor on a toyota camry with a 2.2 4 cyli nder
The air flow sensor is located inside the air box of a 1998 Toyota Camry LE. To replace the unit the air box screws must be unmounted and the sensor disconnected.
Usually V6 has a MAF sensor. 4 cylinder does not have it.
Mass air flow sensor is located in the intake pipe connecting the air filter box with the throttle body.
Only models with v6 have such sensor. If you have one of them, you can find the sensor in the hose coming out of the air filter and going to the injector.

On a 2000 Toyota Camry, the mass air flow (MAF) sensor is typically located between the air filter box and the throttle body, within the air intake duct. It resembles a small rectangular or oval-shaped device with an electrical connector and is often encased in a plastic housing. The sensor has a screen or grid-like structure visible inside, which helps measure the airflow entering the engine.
Camry MAF location(from 1999 Australian built Camry).....try on top of the air filter intake box, There is about a 6inch length of 3inch diameter intake piping that is a moulded part of the filter box assembly (top) . On the side of the piping is a oblong box that houses the MAF sensor (it has a connector with 5 wires plugged into it).if this doesn't help I can send you a photo (can't seem to post it here though)S
On a 2004 Toyota Camry, the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is typically located in the intake manifold or the air intake duct. It is often integrated with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor if the vehicle is equipped with one. To locate it, you may need to follow the air intake path from the air filter to the throttle body. Always consult the vehicle's service manual for precise locations and diagrams.
Open the hood in Camry 07 LE 4 cylinder, beside the air filter housing you will see the MAF sensor with a connector. Open two screws and clean with only CRC MAF cleaner and put it back you should see the difference now. Shuja Zaidi
The air intake temperature sensor on a 4-cylinder Toyota Camry is typically located in the intake manifold or near the air filter housing. It monitors the temperature of the incoming air to help the engine control unit (ECU) adjust fuel injection and ignition timing. In some models, it may be integrated into the mass air flow (MAF) sensor assembly. Always refer to the specific service manual for your model year for precise location details.
