Dodge Dakota V6's didn't have a crank sensor until 1992.

The crankshaft position sensor is located at the rear passenger side of the engine, next to the flywheel. On V6 and V8 it is below the spark plug wire loom, near and slightly higher than the EGR tube / exhaust manifold junction.
