if I am not mistaken, the lights in the dash are from fiber-optic lines that go to the switches from the cluster lights. also originate from the rheostat in cluster.

you take out the dashboard, take off the trip to the actual dashboard 2 screws, one left of the steering wheel, one right, then pull the trim off to the left then you will see 3 screws holding the dashboard in place one left one middle, one right once you have all those off pull dashboard out unplug all connectors and remove the dash you will find most lights there some will be hidden under a casing which you will need to completely remove to get to them.
