Yes you do.
please provide information on how to replace/install intake manifold on 1979 jeep cj7
not a Honda but a Chevy astovan should i install wet or dry?
To replace the Suburban manifold gaskets, unhook everything on the manifold, from fuel lines to vacuum hoses. The manifold needs to be unbolted then removed. Clean the old gasket material, then install with a new gasket. Make sure to use factory specs when torqueing down the bolts.
It is not necessary to change those gaskets if all you have done is change the knock sensor. If they seem to be worn then you probably should go ahead and install new ones.
You will need the intake and exhaust manifold gaskets. I would also install new head bolts.
To install a manifold gasket set on a 2003 Pontiac Aztek, first ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove the intake manifold by detaching any necessary components, such as the throttle body and fuel lines, then unbolt the manifold itself. Clean the mating surfaces thoroughly before placing the new gaskets, ensuring they are properly aligned. Reassemble the manifold, reconnect all components, and finally, reconnect the battery.
What engine???????? You should refer to repair manual if not familiar with auto repair and understand the terminology before attempting Remove nuts holding exhaust manifold to cylinder head & remove nuts/bolts holding exhaust manifold to exhaust pipes Use new exhaust manifold gaskets and install the new manifold securing the manifold to cylinder head (may need to but new nuts and or bolts) by "snugly" tightening manifold to cylinder head if not refering to repair manual
To replace the intake manifold on a Chevy Celebrity 2.8 L V6, first, disconnect the battery and remove any components obstructing access, such as the air cleaner and throttle body. Next, drain the coolant and remove the intake manifold bolts, carefully lifting off the manifold while ensuring the gaskets come off with it. Clean the surfaces of the engine block and install new gaskets before positioning the new manifold and tightening the bolts to the manufacturer’s specifications. Finally, reconnect all components, refill coolant, and check for leaks after starting the engine.
To replace the exhaust manifold on a 1998 Plymouth Breeze 2.0, first disconnect the battery and remove any components obstructing access to the manifold, such as the air intake and heat shield. Unbolt the exhaust manifold from the engine block, taking care to remove any remaining gaskets or debris. Install the new manifold with a new gasket, tightening the bolts to the manufacturer's specifications. Finally, reassemble any components you removed and reconnect the battery.
To replace the manifold in a 1999 Lexus RX300, first, disconnect the battery and remove any necessary components, such as the air intake and throttle body, to access the manifold. Next, unbolt the manifold from the engine, ensuring to remove any gaskets or seals. Install the new manifold with a new gasket, torque the bolts to the manufacturer specifications, and reassemble the components in the reverse order. Finally, reconnect the battery and check for any leaks or issues before starting the engine.
To install thread inserts, first drill a hole in the material. Then, use a special tool to screw the insert into the hole until it is flush with the surface. This creates a strong threaded connection for screws or bolts.
It'll leak pretty bad without gaskets. I soak the gaskets overnight in a pan of water before installing. Seems to help.
