Unfortunately, the company has discontinued this model. I've searched both high and low for parts to replace various breakdowns, but the manufacturer doesn't even support their own product.
After being on hold for a long time, at no point during the call did they even say what the name of the company was or even the manufacturer. Other than "Charmglow" on the front, there's no other company information (besides the phone number). Since this is made in China, there's a high possibility that it isn't even a "Charmglow" brand product and is indeed a cheap knock off.
Best I can figure is to replace the whole unit. It would definitely be cheaper and less hassle compared to actually fixing it.
If that's not an option (due to physical dimensions), then I'd suggest bringing it in to an electrician or motor repair shop. A generic fan that's infinitely better than the cheap crap they have in there would fix up any fan issues for a long time. But be warned, that might cost more than a whole new unit.
As for the heating elements, that's another issue entirely. There may be heaters available that will fit in the space available, but since the unit isn't designed for it there may be some fire hazards involved. Also, be prepared to pay for more than the entire unit to replace the heating elements (though I wouldn't advise it).
Best of luck on finding parts available. The only sources might be other FL18-R units that are out there.
