yes they can run wothout it, but a v8 without mufflers isnt the brightest idea, cops will be on you like white on rice

no *Correction - Reduced back pressure does usually result in more horsepower. Some cars run with resonators rather than mufflers which reduces the noise without as much back pressure, thereby increasing horsepower.
They run best on premium but you could get away with regular but the MPG and the performance will suffer.
any Lincoln mark VII's from 1984-1992 all have the same air ride but these are the only cars that have this setup unfortunately but they do have conversion kits that run $300 to $400 hope this helps.

225/35/20 is what you would be looking to run 5x108 bolt pattern, which is pretty much a ford pattern. they used it on Volvo, tarus/sable, windstar,escape, Lincoln town car, conti, Ls, mark, Volvo s40, Jaguar XJ
Likely a leak in the system, like one or more of the air shocks are leaking.
It is possible that the plastic connector is melted, you can get one from auto parts store but it is better if you hard wire it .

yes you can but its not recommended for more than one hundred miles. The output shaft bearing takes a beating without lubrication. Not trying to sound like a smart-a## but get aaa. it will save you money in the long run. hope this helps
