No , on my vehicle there is a cold fill mark . When the engine is cold the engine
coolant should be up to the cold fill mark
You should never add full strength coolant to any vehicle. Always dilute it with distilled water
You don't put water in your radiator, you put antifreeze.
Master cylinder is defective. Replace it.
A mixture of 1/2 distilled water 1/2 antifreeze to the full line of the radiator overflow container.
Drain & flush the system completely. Now add a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water until it is full. One gallon of antifreeze mixed with one gallon of distilled water should be more than enough.
check your antifreeze level (there should be an overflow tank with add and full lines) make sure there is antifreeze in there if there isn't add a 50/50 mix until it is full, start the engine, run for a few minutes and shut off. check the level again once it cools off. check your antifreeze level (there should be an overflow tank with add and full lines) make sure there is antifreeze in there if there isn't add a 50/50 mix until it is full, start the engine, run for a few minutes and shut off. check the level again once it cools off.
Excess should blow out the ventNot necessarily bad. Remember this next time: Just make sure that in the antifreeze overflow that its filled to the "full" line, nothing more. Also take off your radiator cap. You should be able to see antifreeze. If not, add it. - andey78
I drive a 98 Wrangler. The antifreeze gets poured in a container to the right of the radiator. The radiator is the very first thing between you and the engine when you pop the hood. Open the container to the right, and pour in your antifreeze. Make sure you don't do this when the car is hot. Also, mine is yellowish and there is a line and the word "FULL" to denote how much antifreeze you should put in.
A 50% mixture until it is full.
Apparently when its hot it should be higher than the cold level I read this in my owners manuel .. not very helpful..
until its full
always buy full strenght antifreeze and dilute it down any brand will work don't get caught up buying the most expensive brand
