To polarize a 6-volt magneto, first ensure the ignition is off and the magneto is disconnected from the battery. Then, briefly connect a jumper wire from the positive terminal of the battery to the ignition terminal of the magneto. This will send a small current through the coil, establishing the correct magnetic polarity. Finally, reconnect the magneto to the ignition system, and it should now be properly polarized.
Can you be more specific? Was your battery disconnected or did it lose it's charge? If you did not disconnect the computer, it would not need to be reconnected. If your battery was dead or disconnected, simply remove the positive battery cable for about 10 minutes and re-connect it. This should clear your code. Even if the code does not clear you should have no problems with the function of your car.
the computer should reset itself after you reinstall a battery. :D
You do not have to reset anything. but you should have the battery disconnected. and once you reconnect the battery it will reset your computer.
It might need reprogramming, but try this first.. 1. Disconnect the battery and leave it disconnected for 10 minutes. 2. Rehook the battery, then turn the igntion on without starting it. 3. Leave the ignition on for 1 minute, then try to restart it. It might take a while, but it should level out. Good Luck!!!
When my Rangie did this i disconnected the battery, put the key in the ignition and then reconnected the battery, this forces the key and immobilizer to re sync. failing that phone your dealer with the chassis number and they should be able to give you the code which you need to input using the key in your drivers door.. Hope this helps D
To reset a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica, you typically need to disconnect the battery. Start by turning off the ignition and then disconnect the negative battery cable. Leave it disconnected for about 15 minutes to allow the system to reset. Reconnect the cable, and this should clear any error codes and reset the vehicle's systems.
If you have disconnected the battery upon reconnecting it anti-theft system was activated. Your remote or key should deactivate it when you attempt to start the car. Also check your owner's manual for more details.
