Chi Silk Infusion can be used on wet or dry hair. I would suggest using it on wet hair before you use your blow dryer to smooth, soften and relax your hair before you blow dry. Then when hair is 100% dry, use your flat iron to straighten your hair. Your hair should already be protected from applying the Silk Infusion earlier.
Then after you straighten, you can use a tiny bit more silk infusion to smooth the style and eliminate any fly-aways. If you want to use a product while you straighten, I'd suggest trying a thermal protecting spray like CHI 44 Iron Guard.
