Should you use 10w 30 or 5w30 oil in a 95 Ford F 150 with the inline 6 cylinder?

Use what the owner's manual says. If you don't have one, you can find one at a salvage yard sometimes. It is safe to use 10w30 until you find out for sure. 10w30 is heavier oil for hotter temp. 5w30 is usually good all year round on newer vehicles, specially in winter. But if you have excessive consumption use 10w30. in older vehicles I do not recommend 5/30. i used it in my 91 van v-6 and got better gas milage, changed oil every 3000 miles for 2 oil changes then oil light came on having low oil pressure. went back to 10/30 in winter and 10/40 in summer and have not had a problem since.
