If you cant get to them because they are at some weird angle/against something else you likely need either a swivel socket or a "special" socket to get to them. I think the auto manufacturers do this on purpose to keep the dealerships in business. I would call am local mechanic and ask how much would they charge you to just take those out and go from there.
There are actually two ways to do it. One is to remove the intake plenum to get at them. It is fairly involved and you'll need a new gasket. Don't attempt this method without a fair amount of experience, a torque wrench and a step-by-step repair manual like Haynes. This should not serve as your initial spark plug job; it is not a novice DIY project.
You can also access the back plugs with a series of extensions and swivels, but it is very difficult. You have to have loads of patience and the risk of cross threading is greater because you really have no "feel" for the threads back there.
I have done it both ways and the next time, I am going to remove the plenum. If you don't enjoy doing your own work, this one is best left to a professional. Again, there is no magic or special technique needed, but it is a bear. Since these plugs last for 60k miles, don't forget the anti-sieze compound.
