It's probably not really connected to the housing, but rather to a temperature sending unit that normally screws in to the housing. These sometimes have plastic parts, or others, that can leak or fail. They are normally very inexpensive to replace...again just screwing in and out.
The housing gasket may be bad. Replace the gasket.
Failed seal. Replace it.
thermostat gasket probably leaking. replace thermostat and gasket making sure that thermostat housing is flat.
I thought mine was leaking from the hose also, but I had too much antifreeze in, and also the thermostat was stuck, I only got the leak after driving a long time or in hot weather
Remove the housing and replace the gasket.
Replace the thermostat housing seal or gasket.
Because the plastic housing is cracked. That is what happened to mine.
It is most likely the thermostat housing gasket or the bypass hose that runs from the water pump to the intake manifold.
What other symptoms besides leaking antifreeze? Where do you see the anti-freeze leaking?
I would check the hoses leading into your radiator, and also the overflow for antifreeze. If that is not the problem, it could be your heater core. Your heater core might be leaking, you might have a hose leaking
The coolant is not flowing, causing no heat. Look at the antifreeze coming out to see it there are bubbles in it. If there are bubbles then you have a blown head gasket. If not, then you have either a bad thermostat of bad water pump.
There is no antifreeze in a refrigerator.
