If yours is on constantly or won't come on there are several possibilities. There is a relay, usually inside the transmission, that controls the lock-up solenoid inside the torque converter. If the lock-up won't release, the problem is often that relay. The good part is, it's a lot less expensive than a transmission rebuild and if you can find a reputable transmission shop (that's the bad part, they're difficult to find) they will replace the faulty relay at a reasonable price. On the other hand, it can also be the torque converter, in which case the transmission has to come out and they'll need to replace the torque converter. Then you'll get the speech, "While it's out it's a good idea to..."
If it WON'T lock up when going down the road, it can be a sensor, the relay or, yes, the torque converter.
No it will not. Because it is a lock-up converter and the 350 turbo is not set up for a lock-up converter.
it wont let lock up engage

If you have a torque converter lock all the time problem when hot replace solenoid under driver side cover of transmission .
12, to 1400 rpm.
Torque Converter Clutch system electrical failure. Replacing the torque converter lock-up solenoid may solve the problem.
The automatic has one for the lock up torque converter
You can't. It is computer controlled.
Have the Overdrive and the Lock-Up Torque Converter checked. I would suspect the Lock-Up Torque Converter Solenoid is going bad.
They control the lock up torque converter.
Could be the "Torque Converter Lock-up" Solenoid sticking in the lock position.
Tcc or od solenoid performance. It is caused by a slip in either torque converter lock up or in overdrive. usually the torque converter has failed.
