For a 1973 Super Beetle the reservoir is located under the front hood on the drivers side. The two lines that exit the reservoir are for your dual master cylinder. One line fills the front and the other the rear brake lines.
For a 1973 VW Super Beetle, you should use DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid. Both types are compatible with the brake system of the Super Beetle, but DOT 4 offers a higher boiling point, making it a better choice for performance and safety. Always ensure that the brake fluid is fresh and stored properly to avoid contamination.
