The automatic transmission on the allroad unfortunately has no dipstick to check the oil easily. You must check it from underneath after removing the plastic protection plates from underneath the car. You will need to locate a bolt that is located on the driver's side of the transmission toward the front that is pointing up toward the bottom of the driver's seat. After removing the bolt, you must stick your finger in the hole and check to see if you can feel any fluid. If not, consult your owner's manual and add the appropriate ATF until full. Then replace the bolt and plastic pieces and you're good to go.
