On a 1992 Nissan Maxima, the crank position sensor is typically located near the engine's crankshaft, often mounted on the engine block or timing cover. Specifically, it can usually be found towards the bottom of the engine, near the transmission bell housing. You may need to remove some components for better access, depending on the specific engine configuration. Always refer to a repair manual for detailed instructions and diagrams.
