I had a dodgey temp senosr on my 1995 tigra. I found the problem after six months. The car first started to judder but once warm was fine. It then would cut out when i came to a stop. It then started to burn a lot of fuel and choked the engine making it stall. I coped with it for 6 months when finally the engine management light registered a fault. Took it to the dealer for and they change the sensor, £10.75 part, total bill £91!!
