Anything electrical in your car can drain your battery- your lights, windshield wipers, defroster and heater fans and surely any sound system,-radio, CD and tape player.
Even starting your car drains the battery. Usually this a not a problem if your alternator is working to charge and your battery can take and hold a charge. Driving short trips where you run your heater/defroster and maybe play and radio and/or use your headlights can run down a good . but aging battery even when the alternator is working properly.
