Well, let's see. You might have switched two of the plug wires, but the car would run badly all of the time.
Could be that the gap is incorrect on one of the plugs, or one of the new plugs may be bad. You could try pulling the plug wires off the plugs one by one. (with the engine running and the car in Park) There should be a significant difference in how the car runs if you pull a wire to a properly firing plug. If you pull a wire and notice NO difference, that would probably be the culprit. I'd check and/or replace that plug.
Yes
It probably needs a new set of spark plug wires.
I would not expect a valve cover leak to cause a car to stall. A valve cover leak can fill the spark plug area with oil which can cause rough running.
Several things can cause your car to stall and shake when you stop. Replacing the spark plugs and spark plug wires may cure the problem.
Yes, a faulty ignition control module can cause an engine to stall. This component is responsible for regulating the ignition timing and firing the spark plugs. If it malfunctions, it can lead to erratic spark delivery or no spark at all, resulting in engine misfires or stalling. Additionally, it may cause starting issues or intermittent loss of power while driving.
* cause it needs to be put in drive to go forward
it shouldnt, check or change all of the spark plugs, change the oil, and reset the idle
A bad spark plug or spark plug wire will cause your car to run rough. A dirty air filter will also cause your car to run rough.
There could be a few reasons why your truck would stall like that. 1)Check your spark plugs and wires 2)Your mass air flow sensor may be dirty or going out and needs to be replaced 3)Check your butterfly valve and your intake manifold, they could be dirty or have alot of build ups. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with your spark plugs.
The primary causes for most stall is either no spark or no fuel. Check to be sure you have spark and fuel, write back and tell us which your car doesn't have as well as which engine and what year car and I will try to give you a better idea of what may be wrong.
MAF or a bad spark plug, dirty fuel filters ... maybe needs a tune up
