Most likely needs a tuneup done. Check the timing and change the normal tuneup part.
The knocking noise is commonly called spark knock. The knock can be called by the engine timing not being set correctly, or using gas that has too low of an octane for the engine.
Knocking is usually associated with worn main and rod bearings.
A knocking noise can occur from worn engine mounts. When the rubber insert on the engine mounts are old and brittle the chassis is not protected from the weight of the engine. Creating loud vibrations that get louder as the vehicle goes faster.
dirty fuel filter
counterbalancer is bad
it could be your valves or your engine
Mine did the same, mine was a motor mount.
Engine knock can be caused by several things. Carbon deposits in the engine can effectively raise the compression ratio of the cylinder. When accelerating, the cylinder gets filled with more fuel and air, and the higher compression ratio causes knocking. Other possible culprits could include spark plugs being too hot or your timing being off.
knock sensor is going bad or is bad
unburnt fuel
Replace the fuel filter.
If the car is on and the knocking seems to be coming from around the engine, then the engine could be low on oil. You need to put oil in it immediately or run the risk of ruining your engine. You also could have a stuck valve or maybe your rod is knocking the rod will knock due to improper o ring around it which doesnt give you very good seal inside of a piston.
