if there is oil in the coolant system it could be a crack in the intake, a ruined intake gasket, a cracked cylinder head
Coolant is used to keep an engine in a vehicle at a temperature safe for operation. If no coolant is in the reservoir, an engine will not start.
The ENGINE coolant reservoir is on the drivers side of the engine compartment next to the firewall
The engine coolant reservoir is in the engine compartment , on the drivers side , near the firewall
Bottom of the coolant reservoir.
The engine coolant reservoir or the overflow bottle.
If there is a cap on the radiator you can check to see if the radiator is full , and if it isn't , " top up " the engine coolant . Otherwise , you check the engine coolant level at the engine coolant reservoir when the engine is cold and maintain the level at the cold mark
No , on my coolant reservoir there is a cold fill mark . When the engine is cold the coolant level is supposed to be up to the mark . When the engine is warmed up the coolant level is higher
the reason why the coolant is spilling up over the reservoir is because the thermostat needs to be replaced because when the engine needs water the thermostat heats up from the engine and causes the springs to expant which opens a seal to allow the water throughout the engine i just realpaced the thermostat in my volkswagen
On a 1998 Lincoln Continental : The thread on cap on your engine coolant reservoir is the pressure cap / radiator cap . The engine coolant reservoir is in your engine compartment , towards the passenger side of the engine compartment
In the coolant reservoir in front of the engine.
Coolant reservoir, or directly in the radiator. If you are having to add much coolant, you need to find out why. Serious engine damage can occur if it is leaking inside the engine.
Add coolant to the full cold line on the coolant reservoir when engine is cold.
