What could be the problem with my 2000 Ford Taurus when I started it this morning it was running very rough and the check engine light was blinking?
First thing to do is have the diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) read from the computer. They will provide the first 'lead' in your investigation.
From there you'll be able to focus on which part of the engine to test, repair, clean, and maybe replace.
