If the odometer on your Nissan Altima is not working, start by checking the vehicle's fuse related to the instrument panel, as a blown fuse can cause malfunctions. If the fuse is intact, inspect the vehicle speed sensor (VSS), which sends speed data to the odometer. Additionally, you may need to check for any wiring issues or a malfunctioning instrument cluster. If these steps don't resolve the issue, consider consulting a professional mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.
If the speedo il ok but the odometer doesn't work, take it to a speedo shop as the problem is in the speedo.
