The Filko CS-3 is a coolant sensor for GM vehicles in the 80's
The starter solenoid is part of the starter.
The starter solenoid is part of the starter. The starter relay is in the under hood fuse box.
Starter solenoid is on/part of the starter. Transmission solenoids are inside the transmission, on the valve body.Starter solenoid is on/part of the starter. Transmission solenoids are inside the transmission, on the valve body.
The low reverse pressure switch is part of the solenoid pack. That is the part on the front of the transmission case below the cooler hoses.

need to know where the shift solenoid is on a 96 Chevy lumina is located so that i can switch out the part. the one that i bought is a shift and lock solenoid, so where is that at on the transmission?
It is in the Solenoid pack, That is the plastic looking part on the front of the transmission case.
The tcc solenoid is part of the od solenoid assembly.
It is inside the transmission, on top of the valve body. It is part of the solenoid pack and range sensor assembly. It is inside the transmission, on top of the valve body. It is part of the solenoid pack and range sensor assembly.
It is inside the transmission, on the valve body. It is part of the solenoid, trans range sensor assembly.
A solenoid transfers electical energy and activates some other device. Solenoid, means a coil of wire. It is generally arranged as an electromagnet, which can pull on a lever and operate a heavy switch. A solenoid used in cars, is a heavy duty relay. A small current from the starter/ignition switch, causes the solenoid to pull a plunger, which makes switch contacts for heavy duty cables, directly from the battery to the starter motor. The small ignition switch and wiring, cannot take the huge amouts of current to operate the starter motor. So the solenoid acts as a remote switch, which also keeps the heavy cables short and under the hood. Most modern engines use a pre-engage starter motor. The solenoid is an integral part of the motor. It pulls a lever which engages the pinion gear with the starter ring around the flywheel. At the last part of the movement, heavy duty switch contacts are made, which connect the motor to the battery, via extra thick cables.
