Sounds like your engine oil is getting low. Check the oil level and replenish if necessary. There may be other signs of overheating if the oil level has fallen perilously low. When did your vehicle last have an oil and filter change?
Could also be that your oil pump has died. Could also be a faulty oil pressure sensor. In any case, it needs looking at very soon, as your engine will be the next thing to die.
