it has a light that comes on to tell you when to change gears in a manual car, really just for show and the light can be adjusted to come on at whatever rpm you desire as long as the car can rev as high as it is set before the revs stall. in reality you change gears by ear and not even by looking at the taco let alone a light.
Check engine light : Gauge cluster without tachometer ( under the engine oil pressure gauge ) Gauge cluster with tachometer ( just to the left of the battery voltage gauge )
Std. transmission could be "shift" light
There is the ( low coolant ) warning light that is at the bottom of your gauge cluster between the engine temperature gauge and your tachometer
If it's the one I'm thinking of, it is the Shift Indicator. It tells you when your RPM's are such that you should shift gears for optimal fuel mileage.
It is recommended to refer to the Sunpro tachometer instructions for the specific wire diagram and installation instructions for your model. The diagram will typically show you how to connect the tachometer and shift light to the appropriate wires in your vehicle. If you do not have the instructions, you may be able to find them online through Sunpro's website or by contacting their customer support.
If your gauge cluster has a tachometer:The "Check engine" light is under the tachometer just below the "1000."If your gauge cluster does not have a tachometer:The "Check engine" light is below the fuel gauge, just to the left of the high-beam headlight indicator.
The instructions should be with the meter. If not contact the manufacturer
If you have the instrument panel with the tachometer , just above and to the left of the tachometer is a " check gage " light that comes on if the oil pressure is too low , the engine coolant temperature is too high , or your gas gauge is at or near empty
yess
This is most likely the Brake Warning Light. It's usually obvious because it says BRAKE under it but perhaps not always. This indicator light is usually located bottom center of the tachometer gauge.
On a 2000 Mercury Cougar : The warning light that looks like a can with an X through it , located between the engine coolant temperature gauge and the tachometer ( at the bottom of the gauge cluster ) is your ( LOW engine cooling system warning light )
Speedometer, Fuel Gauge, and Tachometer.
