You can replace your brakes by bringing them into your local auto repair garage. If your car is still under warranty, you can also take it into your dealership for replacement or repair.
AnswerIt is time for a professional inspection to avoid spending more $$.I had a similar situation with brakes on a Windstar. Diagnosed it myself to be brakes - did fronts, still grinding - did the rears and guess what - was still grinding! Turned out to be rotors that did not show anything wrong, but was still the cause.Save money, time & frustration - get a pro involved. (you can still do the repair yourself.)Answerwhich one did you replace Spent $700 more and replace them all OR take it to a mechanic to actually fix it
I have a 2002 Highlander and did not replace the pads until it had 110K miles. I am pretty easy on brakes but was still surprised they lasted that long, and they still had some pad left. 2.4L 2WD.
well it does depend on the fact of if you replaced the brakes or not because after you replace your brakes you have to bleed them again or else they won't work properly if im correct
probably have a bad master cylinder.
No. Your normal brakes will still work even if the ABS Module is bad. You will however have no ABS function.
The Astro Van power steering and brakes work off the same pupm. Check the pump for fluid. If it's full and the brakes and steering still hard you must replace the pump
Did you replace the master. It might be by passing.
i replace my rear brake shoes on 2001 dodge grand caravan and my emergency brake is still not working
sorry, don't have an answer to your brake problem because I too just replaced the rear discs and pads on my 05 Forester and the brakes are grinding. The original discs warped. I've got to check tomorrow to see if I did something stupid. The braking is fine and the sound has deminished but they still grind when I go around turns. Weird huh! Let me know what you find out?
Due to unforseen consequences, you should really let a professional do your brakes. If you still insist, then, You may want to go to a car parts store, or book store, and get a repair manual for your car. They cost about $16.00 Or, go to a Public Library.
If you brakes are still squeaking after you change your brake pads in any car, you have a warped rotor. The squeaking is caused by the rotor vibrating when pressure is applied by the pads. The best way to permanently fix the problem is to replace your pads and your rotors at the same time. This can also cause accelerated wear on the new pads if you do not replace the rotors at the same time, or at least have them turned.
