Check that your emergency (park) brake isn't on.
Even one notch will activate the dash light. You may have to pull up on the pedal while you hold the brake release lever if it's a foot operated brake. With a hand operated brake between the seats, I've seen people put stuff there that keeps the hand lever from returning all the way down. Rusted or binding linkage in the brake drums themselves may prevent the pedal from returning to the top.
If your brake cable has some rust or debris in it, it may cause the cable to bind, preventing the parking brake pedal from returning all of the way to the top.
low tire pressure if it is the upside down half circle, kinda like a U with an exclamation.
It's the TPMS warning light. "Tire pressure monitoring system"
It means warning. Check your owners manual first. Usually its Brakes or Brake fluid.
