When connected to the cable which normally runs to the starter it completes the circuit. Electrons flow from the negative terminal to the positive terminal.
The positive
The positive
A person can hook up a cooling fan to a battery by connecting the hot or positive lead to the positive side of the battery. The negative lead wire is then connected to the negative side of the battery.
On the battery is marked - or +. The red cable is positive and the black is negative.
it has something to do with the electrical current pssing through the wires to the battery
positive terminal
The tip on the plus side of a battery is called the positive terminal. It is usually marked with a plus sign or the color red to indicate the positive polarity of the battery.
Energy flows from the negative terminal to the positive terminal of a battery.
it is called the positive pole,if you want to go deeper when using (discharging) a battery it is called a cathodewhen charging the battery it is called an anodeThe positive terminal.

Each battery terminal will have a sign impressed into the plastic case next to it, and the sign will be either "+" or "-".
" Anode " is generally refer to POSITIVE. Cathode generally refer to NEGATIVE. But these terms are use for different applications ( For example: you wouldn't refer to the POSITIVE side of a battery as ANODE or NEGATIVE side as CATHODE, it commonly refer as positive or negative when you are dealing with battery application etc. )
