There is no required "education" to become an ASE certified master technician. However there is two criteria that must be met. A technician must take take a series of eight written tests in various automotive repairs. The tests are taken at a testing center twice a year, and must be signed up for in advance. Most people will study for these tests, but no classes are required. The second criteria is that you must provide proof of two years experience working as a mechanic in a repair facillity. Once the criteria is met you will be issued certification by ASE.
